My Music Inspirations from the 1980s’

THE MUSIC SCENE IN THE 70’s and 80’s in MY TOWN

This Blog is designed to introduce you to musicians and bands that played in Wilmington, Delaware in the 1970’s and 80’s and many of them are still actively playing today in 2016. I first heard their music in the early 70’s when I attended the University of Delaware but I moved to Salt Lake City until 1988. After that I returned to Delaware and later re-met some friends and met new friends who play music and keep local music in the Delaware, Pennsylvania area active and alive.

The BlUE ROCKS, MARK KENNEALLY AND ROCKETT 88 WERE TWO OF MY FAVORITES.

NEARLY A WEEK

It has been nearly one week since the Horse and Buggy Reunion. Already Wayne Watson is talking about returning (perhaps this summer) for another reunion of some sorts. This time it might be more mellow music with his brother Gary. We will certainly be looking forward to his return.

I have it on good authority to report that Mark Kenneally will also be playing at the beach in Delaware as well as Maryland this summer. I will keep you posted on his dates as soon as I know when he’s going to be playing in Lewes or Rehoboth (and where!).
